What do I need to do to hire tools?
It is really simple to hire tools with GV Plant Hire Ltd. You can either phone or email us to reserve the tool you require. You will need 2 forms of recent I.D such as a driving license or passport and utility bill and the required deposit.
What other small plant machinery tools do you hire?
We offer a range of tools. Please take a look through our products. If there is a tool you require to hire that you don’t see listed on our prices page please don’t hesitate to call, we’re more than likely to have it available Tool Hire

What if I only need the tool for a few hours?
At GV Plant Hire we have extremely competitive daily tool hire rates.
What if I need to hire a tool or piece of equipment for a long period of time?
On our product and pricing pages you will see we offer a range of hire periods, if you need an item for longer than 7 days please do contact us to discuss the time required and we will be happy to accommodate.
Do you hire plant with an operator?
No, but we can arrange, do please call 07467700800 for prices and further information.
Do your machines come with fuel?
Yes all our machines come fully fuelled as we require them to be returned fully fuelled or incur an extra cost.
Is there an extra cost for fuel?
There will be a charge incurred if machines are returned not fully fuelled, which would be charged at the standard rate.
Do your saws and drills include blades and bits?
No unless stated but can be purchased for an extra cost.
Where do you deliver to and collect from?
At GV Plant Hire we do offer a delivery/collection service to all local areas such as Thornaby, Stockton, Middlesbrough, Redcar, Hartlepool, Darlington, Great Ayton etc. Please call or email for a competitive quote Contact page
What happens if a machine I hired stops working?
In the unlikely event that a piece of GV Plant Hire equipment fails, please contact us on 07467700800 for advice or a replacement.
What happens if a machine I’ve hired stops working out of hours?
As above, please contact us ASAP on the out of hours number 07467700800 and we will advise or replace the item for you even out of hours. Should you fail to do this you may still be charged for the hire time.
Do I need to let you know if I need the equipment for longer than I thought?
No, in most instances we have multiples of items in stock to ensure we can provide all of our customers with a flexible, affordable hire options. Simply return your hire equipment when you are finished with it and you will be charged for the total hire time. No penalties incurred.
Can I pay for my hire tools by credit or debit card?
Yes, at GV Plant Hire we accept both credit and debit cards along with cash payments.
Do you charge VAT?
Yes all our prices include VAT. Prices page
I’ve never hired tools before. Will I be shown how to use the equipment?
Yes, we offer verbal instructions to your requirements on the safe working and operation of all of our equipment. If at any point after you have hired your equipment and feel unsure please do not hesitate to give us a call. Hire Terms page
Do you offer business accounts and if so how long do I need to have been trading to apply?
At GV Plant Hire we are happy to take account applications from all businesses whether you are a start up or have been trading for years. To apply you simply need to have a credit checkable history, provide recent utility bills and bank statements; in addition to leaving a holding deposit.
